This interior was designed as a special Moodboard project for ELLE Decoration. Inspired by Dutch Master Johannes Vermeer’s famous work, Girl with a Pearl Earring, for this project the fabled Girl was chosen as a client. A cocoon space filled with soft textures creates the perfect atmosphere for a bedroom. The only direct reference to the painting is the artistic wall lights, Hands by Maison Arlus (France, 1960s), the lampshades of which have the form of large pearls. Vintage and modern design pieces coexist, traditional textures neighboring on resin and plastic. The result is a gentle mingling of the best elements of past and future.
